Cardio-cerebrovascular prevention for World Heart Day

Every year on September 29, we celebrate World Heart Day, an initiative promoted by the Word Health Organization to inform and raise awareness of the importance of cardio-cerebrovascular disease prevention.

Prevention in the cardio-cerebrovascular field is crucial, which is why it is important to spread the culture of proper lifestyle, the importance of physical activity, examinations, and a periodic cardiological examination.

Smoking, obesity, and sedentary lifestyle are just some of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease, and when combined with uncontrolled diet, high blood pressure, stress, diabetes, and family history, the overall picture becomes more complicated, making it even more important to perform checkups and examinations.

So-called primary prevention is done by undergoing regular blood tests, measuring blood pressure and having an electrocardiogram. These are simple checks that best help detect even mild cardiac changes that may already be the telltale sign of a high-risk condition.

The heart is the most precious organ we have, it feeds all others, it should be protected with tailored therapies and good habits!
