Dr. Comi is an ophthalmologist at Life Clinic.
He received his medical degree from the University of Milan in 2001 and specialized in Ophthalmology at the same university in 2005. He also obtained the "Confocal scanning laser ophthalmoscopy" certification at the University of California.
Since 2007, Dr. Comi has been a Medical Director on an exclusive relationship in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo, where she has held the position of Deputy Director since 2020. Previously, she was a fellow at Ospedali Riuniti di Bergamo for activities aimed at carrying out specific projects related to pediatric ophthalmology, vitreoretinal surgery and low vision. She has been a consultant for the Division of Infectious Diseases at Sacco Hospital with a focus on HIV infection.
His surgical activity includes an extensive surgical case history with about 6 thousand operations from 2015 to date on anterior segment pathology (cataract, trabeculectomy, deep sclerectomy, Xen implantation and Ahmed's valves) and posterior segment pathology (retinal detachment, vitrectomy).
He has also gained considerable experience for eyelid surgeries such as ectropion, entropion, chalazio and pterigium and on the treatment of vitreoretinal pathologies such as epiretinal membranes, macular holes, hemovitreo and diabetic retinopathy.
She is the author of 30 scientific publications in the most significant Italian and some international journals. Finally, she has participated as a speaker at national and international conferences.
