Psychologist
Crico Chiara is a Neuropsychological Area Psychologist at Life Clinic.
In 2018, Crico will receive his bachelor's degree in Psychological Science and Techniques and in 2020 his master's degree in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology in the Life Cycle.
After a year of postgraduate professionalizing internship at ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII at UOC Specialized Rehabilitation, Dr. Crico enrolled in the School of Specialization in Neurology at Bicocca University of Milan in 2021.
Today, in addition to continuing her graduate studies, she is engaged in an internship in the same operating unit at Pope John XXIII Hospital where she was before graduation.
During her years of experience in the field, Dr. Crico has had the opportunity to meet and evaluate patients with a variety of issues resulting from degenerative neurological diseases, acquired brain injuries (stroke outcomes, ESA, expansive lesions) and beyond.
The neuropsychological evaluation that Dr. Crico performs consists of an in-depth interview during which specific tests are performed that allow her to have an accurate analysis of the patient's cognitive processes, thus being able to recommend rehabilitation and/or stimulation paths if necessary.
Neuropsychological rehabilitation, aims to facilitate and promote the recovery of cognitive deficits (mnestic, attentional and executive) resulting from acquired brain injury; cognitive stimulation, on the other hand, aims to act on the patient's main needs through the introduction of compensatory tools, aimed at improving spatio-temporal orientation and reducing functional disability.
