Dr. Domenico Belussi graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan in 1988 with a thesis on the diagnosis and staging of prostate carcinoma. He completed his residency in Urology in 1993, focusing on conservative surgery of renal parenchymal carcinoma.

In his early career, he served as an internal medicine resident at the Institute of Urology in Milan, dealing with urologic ultrasonography and advanced surgical techniques. He also participated in numerous international courses and internships in the United States, United Kingdom, Denmark and France, delving into laparoscopy, endourology, radical prostatectomy and urologic video surgery.

Since 1990 he has been working at the Pope John XXII Hospital, formerly Ospedali Riuniti di Bergamo. He initially held the position of first-level assistant in the Division of Urology, coordinating the Urologic Risk Spinal Unit, the Urodynamics Service and the "Neurologic Bladder" outpatient clinic; then as a member of the Urology Director's team, continuing to provide high-level specialist services.

Dr. Belussi has participated in numerous national and international refresher courses and conferences, keeping abreast of the latest urological techniques and advanced diagnostic protocols. His scientific activity includes participation as lecturer and speaker in courses and conferences, as well as publication of papers on renal conservative surgery, bilateral renal tumors, radical cystectomy in the elderly, prostate biopsies, and innovative diagnostic protocols.
